President Karzai Calls President Clinton,
Wishes Him a Prompt Recovery

Presidential Palace, Kabul - H.E. Hamid
Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, called
President Clinton last evening and wished him a prompt recovery
after a surgery to remove scar tissue and fluid around his left
lung.
“On behalf of the Afghan people, I pray
for your quick and full recovery and I wish you success in your
endeavours to help countries in need”, the President said
during the phone conversation.
At the end of the phone call, the President
extended an invitation to President Clinton to visit Afghanistan
in the near future.
