President Karzai Expresses His Condolences
to the People of Canada

Arg, Kabul - H.E. Hamid Karzai, President
of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in a letter written
to H.E. Steven Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, expressed his
deepest sympathies and condolences to the people and Government
of Canada.
In the letter the President said “The people
of Afghanistan share your pain for we too have lost many of
our young people in our common struggle against terrorism.”
“Afghanistan is grateful to Canada for the
sacrifices offered by your soldiers. These sacrifices will further
solidify the bond of friendship between our peoples and strengthen
our mutual resolve to eliminate terrorism and to build a world
where people live in peace and harmony.”
