President Karzai Expresses His Sadness
at the Death of Sayed Sadiq Agha, Head of the Takhar Provincial
Council

Arg, Kabul - H.E. Hamid Karzai, President
of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, expressed his sadness
at the death of Sayed Sadiq Agha, Head of the Takhar Provincial
Council.
A group of unidentified armed men entered Sayed
Sadiq Agha’s house in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province
and martyred him.
In his reaction to the news the President said,
“Sayed Sadiq Agha was a patriot and a great Jihadi figure.
His unfortunate death is an irreparable loss to the people of
Afghanistan. He was a dynamic person and he devoted his entire
life to bringing peace and prosperity to the people of Takhar.”
During the President’s recent visit to the
province of Takhar, the President met with Sayed Sadiq Agha
and admired his selfless efforts to establish the rule of law
in the province of Takhar and his significant contribution to
the security system reform.
The President expressed his heartfelt sympathies
and condolences to the family of Sayed Sadiq Agha and ordered
the authorities at the Ministry of Interior and the NDS to identify
the perpetrators of this terrorist attack and bring them to
justice.
