President Karzai Is Deeply Saddened by
Blast in Baghlan Province

Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, is
deeply saddened by the news of an ammunition blast yesterday
in the village of Pajga, Baghlan Province, killing at least
28 people and injuring about 70 others.
In his reaction to the news, the President said:
"I am deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident, and
I present my sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
I also wish a prompt recovery to the injured".
At the President's instruction, the authorities
are investigating the causes of the blast.
