The Minister of Finance, Eklil Hakimi, spoke at a joint press conference with Nicholas Haysom, United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative and head of UNAMA about the Senior Official Meeting that took place in Kabul. The meeting was a continuation of the high level meetings held every year to follow up on the new phase of partnership initiated at the Tokyo Conference (July 2012), based on principles of mutuality and accountability, through the Tokyo Mutual Accountability Framework (TMAF).

On behalf of my fellow Afghans, we continue to honor and remember those individuals lost in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. Afghans have a deep understanding of the pain that terrorism can bring and that many Americans and nations endured that day.
