Mr. Sharif Hashim
Second Secretary of Administration
Mr. Sharif Hashim has served as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, D.C. since 2006. Mr. Hashim files and responds to official documents and requests, assists in the management of the Embassy’s financial and IT affairs. Prior to his service at the Embassy, Mr. Hashim was Secretary of the President’s Office in Kabul, where he managed the development of a political and organizational infrastructure. Mr. Hashim previously worked for international NGOs in Afghanistan and Pakistan, doing architectural and construction design from 1997 to 2002.
Mr. Hashim graduated from the Architecture College of Urbanism and Engineering in Kabul. He also completed computer hardware, software and networking certification coursework in Pakistan.
