Arg, Kabul: President Hamid Karzai strongly condemns the bomb attack on the Reform and Partnership election team led by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the Reform and Partnership election team’s deputy Engineer Mohammad Khan’s car was damaged and his bodyguards bore injuries and losses as a result of this terrorist act. The attack was carried out this afternoon in the fifth district of Kabul city when the convoy was traveling to the Inter-Continental Hotel from Ariana-Kabul hotel. Fortunately, no one from their election team was injured.

President Karzai believes this explosion was carried out by the enemies of the Afghan people who don’t want them to elect their future president freely in a secure environment.

The President of Afghanistan said that terrorist attacks were also carried out in the first round of the elections, but they failed to deter the Afghan people from voting. In the second round, the people of Afghanistan will also go to the election sites with great determination, and will vote to ensure their political future.

President Karzai extends his deepest condolences to those who lost their loves ones in this terrorist attack and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.
