Mohammad Murtaza Bahrami
Trade and Investment Officer
Mohammad Murtaza Bahrami joined the Afghan Foreign Service in October of 2007 and currently serves as the Embassy’s Trade and Investment Officer.
Before joining the Embassy, Mr. Bahrami worked for Afghanistan’s Ministry of Finance as a Taxpayer Compliance Officer and later as a National Consultant from 2002 to 2005, and for Ministry of Counter Narcotics as Deputy Director for the Counter Narcotics Trust Fund in 2006. After leaving the Afghan public sector, he joined the Economic Section of the United States Embassy in Kabul where he helped to attract US investment in Afghanistan.
Mr. Bahrami is a graduate of Kabul University’s Faculty of Economics, where he completed his B.A. degree in Economics in 2001.
