Aynak Copper Project is Inaugurated in a Glorious Ceremony

Aynak Copper Project was inaugurated in a glorious ceremony in Aynak area of Logar Province.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Mines Dip. Eng. Mohammad Ibrahim Adel, Deputy Minister for Mining Affairs Dip. Eng. Mohammad Akram Ghaiasi, Deputy Minister for Sectorial Affairs Dip. Eng. Abdul Quddos Nyman Hamidi, the head of Economical Committee of Parliament Mr. Nadim, Deputy for Ministry of Information and Culture Zia Afshar, the head of MCC Shen Heting, Representative of Chinese Embassy in Kabul, Tajik Ambassador to Afghanistan, Afghan Ambassador to China Sultan Mohammad Baheen, Loger Governor Atiqullah Lodin, the head of Commercial and Industries Chamber of Afghanistan Mohammad Qurban Haquejo, Commander of Aynak Security Regiment Gen. Sayed Mohsin Hassanzada, elders and representatives of Logar Provnice and journalists of media.
This rite was inaugurated by reading of some versus of Holy Quran and the playing of National Anthems of Afghanistan and China, and followed by reading the message of President Karzai by the Minister of Mines as fallow:
“Some of mines of our country are unique by its quality and quantity in the world. The Aynak copper mines is one of them and discovered about 36 years ago, its primary survey and project implementation was started during the presidency of Mohammad Daud, but stopped during the three decades conflict.
By the continuous struggle and work of MoM, this large project underwent a tender process, and in a transparent process, the MCC Company of China was declared as a winner in accordance to laws of our country and accepted international procedures, the contract of exploration and exploitation of Aynak Copper Mine was signed between Afghanistan and MCC of China.
Aynak Copper Project is the largest economical project of the country that besides preparing the work opportunities for the people, has a lot of other useful projects in sectors of constructions, training, railway and power supply. The annual income from this project, has a significant role in sustaining the economical base of the country, therefore, the inauguration of this project is a source of our satisfaction.
I hope the MCC implements its work in accordance to the contract and observes the environment protection standards.
At the end, I appreciate the struggle and work of MoM and its counterparts that suffer the troubles in this regard.”
The Minister of Mines, said regarding to the topic:
“By the attention and support of the governor of Logar, cooperation of the people of Aynak area and sacrifice of the security force, we are successful in this project.”
After that, the various speakers addressed on the economic importance of the project, good circumstance for investment of private sector, people’s support for the project, indefatigable struggle of Ministry of Mines for opening of the project and commitment of the people of the area and security forces.
The head of Economical Committee of Parliament Mr. Nadim, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Information and Culture Zia Afshar, the head of MCC Shen Heting, Representative of Chinese Embassy in Kabul, Loger Governor Atiqullah Lodin, the head of Commercial and Industries Chamber of Afghanistan Mohammad Qurban Haquejo, Commander of Aynak Security Regiment Gen. Sayed Mohsin Hassanzada, and representative of the people of Aynak area was among the speakers.
At the end, the project was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon by the Minister of Mines, the head of MCC and Mr. Baheen.
