United Arab Emirates builds university in Afghanistan
On December 14, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent announced the completion of the construction of the Sheikh Zayed University in Afghanistan’s Khost province. The university was built at a cost of $4.8 million donated by the late UAE leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The university will provide higher education in medicine, engineering, agriculture, technology, Islamic studies, arts, literature and education for 3000 students.
