Embassy Expresses Condolences to the People of Brazil
On July 18, Ambassador Said T. Jawad - in his capacity as Afghanistan's non-resident Ambassador to Brazil - conveyed the condolences of the Afghan Government for the people of Brazil, following the tragic loss of 189 people on TAM Airlines Flight 320. In a letter to Brazilian Ambassador to the United States Roberto Abdenur, the Ambassador wrote, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family members of the victims and we join you in this time of grief. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
