President Karzai Receives Phone Call from President Bush

Arg, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, received a phone call from H.E. George W. Bush, President of the United States of America this afternoon.
Both Presidents talked about the situation in Afghanistan and the region, they discussed the progress in Afghanistan, with the help from the United States, is making in fighting terrorism and rebuilding Afghanistan.
President Bush invited President Karzai to visit Washington D.C. in the near future. President Bush assured President Karzai of the continued and long term U.S. support for Afghanistan.
They also discussed developments in the region.
President Karzai thanked President Bush for his and the U.S.’s continued support to Afghanistan and said that he looked forward to visiting the U.S. in the near future.
