President Karzai Consults Country's Prominent Personalities on Upcoming Presidential Election
On Wednesday, President Hamid Karzai chaired a meeting participated by the country's key figures including Jihadi leaders, members of the political opposition council as well as senior government officials to discuss Afghanistan’s presidential election.
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues of importance to the upcoming presidential election.
Participants brushed off the gloomy predications and said there were strong reasons to be optimistic about a stable future and exchanged views on certain issues of importance to the Presidential election.
The meeting decided that such views and proposals be also presented in writing to the Ministry of Justice for further action.
In conclusion, it was collectively agreed that these consultative meetings continue for talks on this issue of national importance.
In presence to the meeting were Hazrat Sebghatullah Mujadedi, the two Vice-presidents, speaker of the Lower House, Professor Sayaf, Peer Gilani, Senior Minister Arsala, Sayd Mansoor Naderi, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Mohammad Younis Qanoni, Anwar ul Haq Ahadi, Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal, Waqif Hakimi, Ustad Akbari, Waheedullah Sabawoon and several others.
